How your information is intended to be treated

This is a working draft written for volunteer testing. It describes intentions for the completed product rather than systems that are already operational.

Sensitive by default

The completed product is intended to treat birth information, reflections, transcripts, and readings as sensitive private data belonging to the person who created them.

Design intentions

• Personal entries are intended to stay behind private account access.
• There is no public journal and no automatic sharing.
• Personal reflections are not intended to be sold.
• Personal content is intended to stay out of ordinary advertising systems.
• You decide what leaves your account.

What counts as sensitive here

Birth data, reflections, transcripts, readings and pattern reports are treated as sensitive account data. Journal content and birth data are not sent to ordinary advertising or marketing analytics. Raw voice audio is used to produce a transcript and is not retained afterwards.

Services we rely on

Running the product means some data is processed by the services below. We describe only what this application sends them; we do not make claims about their own internal retention practices.

• Supabase — authentication and database infrastructure.
• OpenAI — transcription of voice reflections and AI generation of readings and reports.
• AstrologyAPI — astrology calculations and chart data.
• Resend — delivery of your weekly and 30-day report emails.
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment details, which we never store ourselves.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from Settings. Deletion removes your birth profile and natal chart data, reflections, readings, Go Deeper questions and answers, saved astrology contexts, weekly and 30-day reports, report-delivery records, feedback, membership linkage records held in this app, and your sign-in account. If a membership is still billing, it is cancelled with Stripe before deletion proceeds. Deletion cannot be undone.

My Cosmic Decoder is an astrology-based reflection product. It does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

Status of this draft
